Apartment

Apartment; a multi media / multi dimensional project to investigate space and the urban environments in which many of us find ourselves.  Boxes can be flattened down, shaped, coloured, re-imagined and then placed back in their original form, yet bent and re-conceptualized.


Boxes can be re-imagined whether they are concrete or cardboard. The spaces around us are ours for the taking — the key point is flattening them out and making our mark on them with our own creativity.

 

 

The piece:  


Apartment (2010) cardboard drawer, acrylic paint, ink, spray paint, permanent marker pen, found photograph, Powell Peralta 'Future Primitive' reissue with Independent trucks and Bones wheels.

Apartment (2011) Filmed in Seoul, South Korea. Soundtrack made with Nanoloop 1.5 run through a Gameboy DMG-01, with a bass guitar and some pedals, with minimal fx added in Audacity.
